I have started to incorporate my animal designs along side my buildings, i love the combination of the two and want to get my point across of the animals being in the City :) as if they are rooming the streets of New York! I'm doing this partly so i do not loose the essence of the theme which is New York Central park, i dont really want my collection to look just like random animal designs i want to keep the New York Zoo element :)
I have come up with the idea of incorporating architecture into my Central Park Zoo theme but unlike last semesters architectural drawings that were quiet realistic and technical iam designing buildings that are naive and child like to accompany my animal drawings... i have used collage and mixed media making the designs bright and fun :)
I have been doing my market research into the Zoo/ Animal theme and Aztec patterns whilst doing so i found a designer called 'Modern Mindy' who has recently designed products for a kid's Tribal Tea Party. I like the rustic feel of this designers tribal theme, it captures nature with it's earthy tones. She has also like myself mixed tribal/ aztec patterns with animals. Here are a few photo's of Modern Mindy's Tribal Tea Party......
Hi Guy's !
It has been a while but i have been getting really busy and my design sheets are coming along nicely. My Zoo project is really coming together. I have developed my idea's further and i'm now incorporating Aztec patterns into my art work. The Aztec patterns really compliment my Zoo theme :) Here are some design sheets i have been working on......
This design sheet shows the colour pallette i have chosen to use. Some of my chosen colours being mustard yellow, grey, purple, green and cherry red. The colours are bold and bright, perfect for a kid's interior also being suitable for either a boy of girls interior.
