Whilst researching into products with a New York /America  theme i came across these amazing cushions by Digetex.....They are contemporary and very inspiring, I'am going to design and make cushions for my end of year show at uni.....I like the idea of using photographic imagery as well as hand drawn designs. This is something I am going to try...

i haven't blogged in a while been so busy with drawing for my collection and recently started to design on Photoshop.....it is exciting to see my collection come together! We have been off Uni for two weeks for the Easter Vacation so tomorrow i will show my tutor my latest idea's and hopefully she will like!   Here is a design I have been working on...

This traffic light design is one of my favourites.......

I have come across the designer Kate Spain whilst doing my research. She has done a Central Park fabric collection in the past which is a little disappointing as i thought my idea was new and fresh but my collection will be nothing like Kate's as she has concentrated alot on the organic side like plants and flowers where as i'm mixing Animals with architecture...'The Concrete Jungle'  GGGRRRR!! :) 

Whilst researching Signage i came across this cute sign with animals on it....i have drawn it in my colour palette to add to my Kid's Interior collection.... it would look great on a children's wallpaper design!

I have also been researching into Aztec pattern and found it is very popular at the moment in kids fashion and accessories...here are my findings !

 My Uni Studio space is now transformed into a bright and colorful place of inspiration with pictures of American signage, fire escapes, water towers, Central Park Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Animals and Aztec pattern...Check the picture out that i have posted!
